Hate the N82 :(

Those annoying menus are specific to Orange. If you debrand the phone, they'll be gone for good.

I don't know how vigourisly Nokia check for changed product codes. Worst case scenario is that you can change it back if you need to get it fixed.

Got a N82 (Black) from Orange as an upgrade, felt cheap to me and texting was a joke with my fat fingers....

Sold it and brought a 6500 slide off the bay and pocketed the change! :D

OK, as much as i've tried so hard to like the phone, I just cannot use the buttons on the keypad.

My friend has smaller hands than me, and yet he struggled a bit and admitted he 'could probably get used to it...But they aren't good'

I could have got used to the menu system, and the Nokia way of texting etc, however, due to the buttons it is impossible.
I am forever pressing 2 buttons at once, or the wrong key when texting or dialling fast.

For those who may say 'text slower' that would be a stupid thing to do.

So, back to SE it is, they own Nokia now IMO.

Why couldn't they have made the keypad better on the N82? Why are they so stupid? Seriously, there is enough room to have made proper buttons.

Ah well, I won't be buying Nokia again for a long time.

I cant see the issue with the keypad, I have fat fingers and struggled at first but its a new phone and it always takes time to adjust! Espeically the damn space and caps keys :P I end up with cap letters all over the place lol

I love the n82!

I agree the look of the keypad is worrying, but use is perfect! Spaced well and has a defined push... if you know what i mean!

Im a textin pro on it and ive only had it a week :)

I have had a n82 for the last 2 months or so and the other day it crashed, i got a text, pressed to read it and it crashed would not do anything, turned it off and back on. nothing, had to take out memory card, reformat memory card after saving stuff from it to my pc, then do a hard reset on N82, so bizarre, only got garmin and had about 30 text;s on the phone,. just crashed, most odd! apart from that it is a good phone, now i back up more often just in case!

Wasn't there quite a serious bug with Garmin quite recently? I'd suggest updating it to the latest version.

It's gone now, im sure I wasn't the only person to hate the keypad, shame, as the phone would have been good otherwise, could have got used to the other features, just not the keypad.

C902 en route, much better IMO after trying it out in the shop.
