Hated Religon

I'd be ****** sure, and would make damn sure i got any kids/mutual assets, but i wouldn't wan her put to death, as I would still in all likely hood lover her, and as such not want to see her brutally murdered.

edit: I think the kids will be more ****e off at their dad having their mother murdered tbh.

Plenty of people on here and people i know IRL have had parents split up, all perfectly fine, many of them them here in uni, with 2 loving parents still.

Not everyone just goes right that it kids your mums left me pack your bags and **** off i don't love you any more,

Adultery is so common in this country, thats why people such as yourself see it being kinda normal. But on Islamic countries where its rare and from day 1 strong and brutal punishment was introduced.

die you get X amount of virgins and live in paradise.....

<ColiN> - Jedi Knight :)

Thats never true. Some people got brain washed to believe that so they go commit soucide

Errrr... forgiveness? Maybe look into the reason why it happened and work it out like men instead of using a cover to vent your anger?

Or dont Muslims practise Forgivness any more?

They do but like I said from day 1 it was brought so people dont do it. Which they dont or very rarly

I raised this issue with my Muslim mate once, during a debate about honour killings (he argued in their support; I took the contrary view). I asked him why forgiveness doesn't seem to get much of a mention in Islam, despite the fact that Allah is described as "all merciful."

He seemed genuinely perplexed. I don't think he was able to make the cognitive link between "all merciful" and "forgiveness." The two concepts seem entirely unrelated in his mind.

I get the impression that when Muslims describe Allah as "all merciful", they don't actually stop to consider that the adjective itself has a practical application. It's just another divine title to them.

its not just a title. Its a fact, but some laws are strict like adultery, like I said adultery is normal here so people dont take it seriously.

If you comit murder you are forgiven by the all mighty but will get punished for it.

I can see how the conversation is shifting on why people hate islam to some of the law in islam.

Wither your Christian, Jewish or Muslim you’re not supposed to eat port or drink alchahol.

But Christians do, do some research 1st testimony, but along the line someone changed or bended the rules, as its happening in Islam sometimes

  • An-Naba 78:31-34
Verily, for the Muttaqun [righteous], there will be a success [paradise]; gardens and grapeyards; and young full-breasted maidens of equal age; and a full cup.

  • Hadith 2,562; Sunan al-Tirmidhi
The least [reward] for the people of Heaven is 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome of pearls, aquamarine and ruby.

Am not sure about the quote from An-Naba, but I thank you greatly for bring it up as I need to know what that verse means for my understanding.

But the 2nd part the Hadith 2,562 is rubbish. Shia's dont follow Hadiths made by Sunnis (Its made up btw)

yes we are all allowed our views, thats your to your understanding and this is mine to my understanding.

I share your feelings on adultery; I don't like it either. However, in a secular society, it is not punishable by law, so there's nothing to be done about it.

But coming back to my point: if Allah is all merciful, why don't Muslims emphasise forgiveness in their religion? When the Danish cartoonist published pictures of Mohammed, people called for him to be murdered. Why didn't they forgive him instead?

Forgiveness doesn't seem to occur very much in Islam. It's all about punishment - usually with extreme violence.

If you're forgiven, why are you also punished? Surely forgiveness precludes the need for punishment?

If a judge tells me that "society has forgiven you", then sentences me to 5 years in prison, in what way can I said to have been forgiven?

That is because (a) most people don't actually hate Islam, but (b) many people hate the inhuman behaviour that Islam appears to encourage.

Yes I agree with some of the comments above, you see extremism is so high in Islam that sometimes things like the cartoon causes mayhem. In fact I call this ignorance of Muslim people.

How I would go about it is instead of looking like a barbarian on TV I would educate the world or have a small press conference on why its wrong.

Anyway I said a lot today about this, and I learnt a lot from all the comments I got from everyone. Hope all that contributed also learnt something.

Knowledge is power. I think this would be my closing statement. Thank you all
