How close is “local”? I had a neighbour 300 metres away here that killed his wife in their house 20 years ago. Only heard the story after he died and his goats turned up at my house to eat all Herself’s plants. The then Maire had to do a lot of running around as the dead bloke‘s kids had cut all ties ages ago and wanted no part of his estate.

He’s buried in an unmarked grave in the tiny chapel 300 metres away on the other side of our house.

French inheritance laws brought into stop gold-diggers by Napoleon mean that his house will just be left to fall apart unless a potential buyer stumps up the legal fees and inheritance tax to get the deeds.
 
A video that's been circulating recently of an uber driver being caught with a girl in the back of his car, I found out was from my Borough.

He's been caught and arrested.
