Have decided to get a 560Ti but which one?

Anyone here have experience of MSI customer services?
Good price but would it be better to hold out for the 2gig model? Given I'm playing at 1650x1080, would I notice the £40 difference in 1 & 2 gig? Decisions, decisions :)

I personally haven't had experience of MSI customer service, however, what I generally hear seems to be positive and encouraging.

Your resolution imo is kind of a borderline resolution; I've seen some people, when applying mods and very high anti aliasing, use over 1gb of video ram in some titles. Though, that aside, I would say it won't make as much difference in your case, particularly if you aren't intending on working the card to its fullest, such as in the example of a situation I gave above. :)

Just thinking too of will it do me the next two years? My 260 has been a great card and I have gotten three years of it. Just wondering should I get the 2gb version & wait til it hopefully goes on offer.

If you can wait and are happy to keep your current card a while longer, that is the better option.

Wether the 2gb 560ti will be on offer anytime soon, I really don't know.

It's a new card and I assume it will sell well at the current price

Problem is ive seen it with other online retailers at around £180 inv vat, so hopefully OC will lower there price or do a special on it as its a nice card.

Good if true but I haven't seen the 2gig card under £200 anywhere in the UK (unfortunately) otherwise I would've snapped it up.

Not sure if it was a uk based seller, was in english LOL if i find it again ill send you the details...i can send competators details via a private message right?

Oh ok i found the retailer, they had it at £180 as a pre order price now its out they are selling it for £208.27 shame, oh and can we send private messages LOL? dont seem to be able to see how

Think I'll just wait to see if it goes on offer. Bound to go down in price if I buy the 1gig model tonight :)

I no LOL its annoying isnt it, its always the way with any hardware though its always on offer when you dont want it and when you do its full price :P 1gig version is still a great card though

I'm thinking about getting a 560 ti too just so I can run anything max at my current monitor resolution of 1280x1024, I know pretty much every other game wont max out 1gb at that resolution but I still worry Battlefield 3 will go over that somehow, but surely not at that resolution? has anyone with an Nvidia card tried it by any chance? as I cant check VRAM usage with an ATi card on MSI Afterburner, if it doesnt go over 1gb then i'll happily just buy the 1gb version of course :)

Wonder if MSI would be smart enough to release a GTX570 2560MB Twin FrozR II/III for under £300? That would make the 6970 2GB at £300 a joke, since it is barely faster than the 6950 2GB on the same clock speed.
