Nice TiZoR, I can feel the quids in my account straining to be spent on a Quad Core...but...I am strong I shall resist to the next price d.r.o..o..o.o.p...must resist feeling weak...bleedin' daleks always hated them with there cool sink plunger and flashing lights....ahhhh this is insane raving mad, musst resssist....lol :)

I came across this snippet of information that will help peeps get a better idea how there system compares to other stock setups, and thanks of course to all the peeps who have taken interst in this thread keep tweakin' :)

REAL WORLD PERFORMANCE COMPARISON

Taken from a sharkey xtreme review Jan 2007

WinRAR is another benchmark test that helps show off the real-world improvements when using a quad core processor. The Core 2 models hold a decided advantage here and the Core 2 quad core processors are the overall leaders. The Core 2 Quad Q6600 certainly holds it own, and even though it obviously can't match the performance of its 2.66 GHz counterpart, the Q6600 is still noticeably faster than the 2.93 GHz Core 2 Extreme X6800.

Wow nice score wingz, what you got your q6600 @ ? (I assume it's a G0) ...

Mine could prolly go higher than 3.2Ghz but I couldn't get it stable at that speed (orthos crashed windows) :(

Tis running in an IP35 pro mobo so it can do 3.2Ghz at least surely!

hmmm i only get 2.1xx

i see some of you guys above with your puny clocks are getting way faster speeds.

i think this benchmark is I/O dependant fsb and memory are more important than clocks.
still i should be getting higher than this with my system

Quad G0 @ 3.5ghz
4GIG DDR2 pc8500 @1066.7
2x8800GTX
EVGA 680I @ 9x391

i mean wt hell lol

the only thing i can think of is my HDDs that are letting me down, 16meg 320 maxtors SerialATA still weird ehh lol

and what are you trying to say ? i can always overclock more 3.7 ? lol even at those speeds i would still have a crap winrar score if for some weird reason the scaleing is the same as what i am at now...

btw you dont know anything about memory do you when it comes to changeing settings....

i checked out everest memory test and the latency test is huge 73ms lol whats the setting to reduce that ?

Can you find this screen in your bios? if you can change the top 5 values to the same as screen shot leave the bottom on auto, this is a good starting point for further tweakng.
