Have you run Winrar Cpu Bench Mark?

ghgh what cooling you using for that 3800+ mate?

Also is that the max volts you can put through one? I have the same and I'm on 2.7 atm on air?

Hi, Im using an artic cooling freezer 64 pro with a 80 mm fan.

The max volts you can put through one on air? I'd say 1.6v for 24/7 use and 1.7v for one off suicide shots and benchmarks but over 1.6v on air isn't adviseable really as you may find the temp sky rocket over 1.55v.

Do you use 1.7v on air for everyday use? or did you mean 2.7GHz your at?

Hi mate

I was on 1.45 @ 2.7ghz and have been for ages!

I have a Sonic tower cooler in an Antec 900 case so air flow is fantastic!

I may push a bit then, whats an ok temp idle and under load for these do you know?

Thanks ;)

sounds good to push it with that setup...i wouldnt let the cpu go over 60c full load...I found i experience lock ups aproaching 65c.

Trouble is I can't get my volts over 1.550v on this DFI Lanparty Ultra-D board? There isn't anything after that?

Volts in CPU-Z showing as 1.536v?

I have CPU VID Control 1.550v & CPU VID Startup Value 1.500v?

Other wise I'd have it at 1.6v whats the best app to monitor CPU temps do you think?

Thanks

Ive got no idea why you can't set over 1.55v, I thought that board allows very high vcores to be set upto 2v or something crazy.

To get the best idea of temps for software download CoreTemp....this will show each cores temperature independently.

Tis ok I got core volts to 1.6v had a browse on the net and found out how :)

Can't get past 2.8ghz though? Without crash at start up?

Maybe I shall put the startup value higher as that may be the issue, also my HT link is set to auto?

ht link to auto - im not sure what that will set on your board....it could well be that which is stopping you from going past 2.8 gig as the ht link doesn't work too well over 1000mhz, (200 x 5) try setting it to 3x then it should stay under 1000mhz when over 280 htt. (looks like its set to 4x atm in the screenshot)

auto may well sort this out on its own but to be sure you could set it manually to 3x....then check with cpu-z to see if the ht link is under 1000. The vcore you currently have set should be sufficient really.

looks about right if a tad low for a stock 4200 x2...I ran it on mine at 2205mhz with the memory at 183 and it got 839 but the htt would have been 220MHz and yours is 200 so that might account for the extra 100 kb/s.

what RAM are you running, is it running 1t/2t command rate? 1t would improve it if its running 2t.

Looks like you have a good stepping x2 if you wanted to OC, JH-E6 tend to overclock pretty well from reading this thread and looking on another forum.

geil 2gb (2 x 1gb) value memory

that might very well do 1t command rate - I got some similar geil value pc3200 that will do 225 1t and another 2 x 256 set that will do 240 1t but yours has default timings that are slacker.

sorry mate.

taken from a website 'Command Rate: Also known as Command Per Clock, this defines the delay between selecting a memory chip, and sending it commands. Set to one clock cycle or “Disabled” for the best performance.'

Still means nothing to me, what should I, could I do ?

change the command rate in the BIOS to 1T or if 1T/2T arean't options set it to disabled...alternatevely you could try setting it within Windows with A64 Tweaker.

if its not too much trouble, can someone do this test on a standard not overclocked e6300 @ 1.8ghz please.

i get 1020kb/s on my rig in my sig at standard clock speeds, still seems low.

at 2.8ghz i only get 1121....omg why so slow
