having a bit of a pc gaming struggle!

I've felt like this for a while, especially when it comes to console games, nothing seems to draw my attention :/

Only games I spend a lot of time on would be Football Manager and CSGO.

I'm in the same boat, pick up nearly every big release on console (only got a laptop that is in bad need of replacing) and the only one that has clicked is bloodborne. I love metal gear solid when I play it but tend to turn it on, do a side op and turn it off due to the possible length of the missions.

it seems so many games are based around a long experience instead of a shorter more enjoyable experience.

I'm tempted with Wasteland 2 on PS4 but it seems this may be more of the same very large world and 50 hours of repetitive content.

Im sure we all do this but just find myself staring at my games list and not knowing what to commit time to, seem to just play something for a bit and stop!

Totally get what you mean man... part of it is a mindset thing I think? It's either not being in the mood, or being spoilt rotten with choice thanks to Steam sales, PS+ etc..

I've not been able to commit something for a while, but I think the right game can really switch me on - I played Alien Isolation earlier this month, and I am happy to say it's now one of my fav games ever. That sort of put me in the mood to play more games, and so I immediately played Stick of Truth, and now on to LA Noire.

So I think you just need the right game to ignite the passion :p try Alien Isolation!

Yep think thats it mate! I played alien at launch and enjoyed the first half, then found it sort of dragged on a bit but did finish it and overall it was great, sound design was spot on! If you like horror, try Soma! Finished that this week

just tried the shadow warrior demo, thanks to the guy above for suggesting it but that snot my cuppa unfortunalty. maybe having played the original it would be more worth while but it comes across as very corny and the voice actor is awful :D

It's not supposed to be taken especially seriously.

When I want something quick to play for a few minutes these are my go to games

Bit trip runner 2
Limbo (till I finished it)
World of Goo
Pool Nation
Path of Exile

Have you tried Spec Ops: The Line? It's third person rather than first and the gameplay is nothing to write home about, but the story is very engaging. It's probably the only shooter that has made me feel genuine remorse for something I've done in game.

My current pick up play for 30min and put down games are:

Diablo 3,
World of Warships,
CS : GO,
Heroes of the Storm.

I just started playing the Witcher 3 after the last patch, just passed 90 or so hours in and lots to do including the expansion.

Very good game.

I'm in the same situation as you.

Have you tried Coop Games?

I have bought Warhammer: End Times Vermintide & Killing Floor 2

They are great games for a couple of hours in the Evening even with some random groups. They both have some kind of progression and Vermintide even has a loot system :-)

Farming Simulator/Euro Truck simulator 2...... Sounds boring, is a bit TBH but strangely very addictive....

Or back to GTA V Online with the OCUK crew. It is quite active and there is usually somebody on....

Some good points on MMO's, I recently jumped on a private vanilla server for WoW. It was great but a lack of friends hindered it. Was just me and my partner playing and we had better things to do.

Are there any upcoming MMO's?

Companies just don't make addictive games like they used to... or there's very few companies that can.

Such a shame.

Maybe age has something to do with it?

The only two upcoming games that I'm really excited for are The Division and Homeworld Shipbreakers. Sadly though both are still 6 months + away.

Star Citizen gets an honorable mention as well, just for the sheer scope of it.

I am after something to sink my teeth into mind, rather than quick bursts. Tempted by D3 though played extensively on ps4

Only game I've managed to sink 100+ hours into story wise this year is Witcher 3. Everything else has been around the 8 hour mark i.e Dying Light.

Fully understand what the OP is saying here.
Still waiting for Batman Arkham Knight to be sorted so bought MGS TPP to tide me over but just find myself sitting in front of the PC watching Youtube and browsing as I just cant get into games at the moment.

Might get back into it as the weather changes towards winter :)

I enjoyed the witcher but at a certain point just focused on the main quest to get it finished as it started to feel a bit padded out imo, great game though one of the best rpgs lately. Have tried dying light but it didnt grab me :(

*I just tried dying light again and its not a bad game, the u.i is a bit crap but not too bad, maybe its better with a controller? seems aimed towards it! cleared some safe houses just find i need med packs all the time :D
