I backed up my C: from my mechanical drive using Acronis but I'm having problems restoring it. I can't simply restore the entire partition as that will muck up the offset, I've tried restoring just the files but it keeps throwing up errors about not being able to copy certain folders (maybe something to do with a different sector size?), the folders in question are compressed so maybe Acronis doesn't support them?
So has anyone got any suggestions? I really really don't want to have to reinstall windows xp.
