Havn BF 360

I can't hear any drone at idle. They start to make more noise than my AIO pump at around 55% speed.
Thanks. Am trying to decide on Flow version with 180mm fans with an additional 2x180's in roof (air cooling) when available. Or go for the regular version and use my Noctua nf-a14 g2 fans installed in my Flux Pro presently

The 180's certainly shift air. Decision would be easier if they sent the fan mounts with the flow version. Can't believe they neglected them. Hopefully they will be available at the same time as the fans. I'm happy I went flow - I do have a supply of 120 Lian Li fans but wanted to lower the unicorn vomit. Just have three now on the AIO which I use to light the interior.

Nice, thanks for the update. Happy with the case? Got any pics of your build?

I guess it's a good idea that fanless cases are available, I've got ten barely used 12cm fans, so I can just transplant these to a new case.

I went an ordered the non-flow version. I will transfer my air cooled built into it. Planning to fit 3 Noctua NF-A14 G2's on the front, 1 in the back.

I have a query about the top which I would normally put an NF-A14 G2 set to exhaust in at the back

Havn are recommended if you go with 180mm fans to put a top rear exhaust and top front intake. Should I also add a 2nd G2 140mm intake at the top front.
I see the case does support only 2 x 140 mm fans at the top with a bit of a gap. So to avoid the gap, I also have the option of going with 3 x 120mm G2's ? (1 exhaust, 2 intake).

Gamers Nexus said GPU temps are worse with top front 180mm intake and top rear 180mm exhaust. They suggest maybe just populating top rear as exhaust. Thought it would beat the Antec Flux Pro in all measurements

Yeah I'm wondering how much of its performance is just down to the super thick 180mm fans. Would be interesting to see a lot of those cases tested with standardised fans. I think they used Antec fans in the 420 as it didn't come with fans, might have been interesting to see how a bunch of the cases performed if you used 3 x 120mm intake and 1 x 120mm exhaust (and perhaps some to fans). See how much of the performance is down to a case design and how much is to do with the fans they ship with.

I'm not sure designers have a massive amount of scope with regards to how much the actual case design impacts cooling. It's a steel box with grills that relies mainly on the fans and their positioning to cool the interior.

One design area that does annoy me slightly in many modern cases, including the new HAVN case, is that the rear grill matrix is incredibly open which lets all sorts of crap in. I'd prefer a fine mesh grill just to provide an element of protection.

How do you think that works?

For decades PCs have blown air out the back, never has the dust overcome the air flow blowing through the vented rear mesh.

If you left it in the back garden for a few months, yeah something would get in.

And if the concern is something touching the blades, zip tie things so they don't. My two exhaust holes are just two big holes, I've removed the mesh and removed blade cover from the inside of the case so airflow is unrestricted as possible (but I do have some foam filters on the intake which I've left) a different case

So now people have got their cases, what's the consensus on the 180mm fans. Any weird ticking or motor noise on the appropriate pwm fan curve. Any turbulence ?

Yeah, we still have no real idea how these cases and fans really perform in comparison to an Antec Flow Pro full of Noctua 140mm G2's or NZXT H9 full of 140mm BeQuiet silent wings.

The problem with the idea of positive air pressure keeping dust out is exactly that, it works when there is positive air pressure- aka when your PC is turned off, all the dust comes in. Dunno bout you guys but my pc is only on for a couple hours a day, I don't leave it running 24/7

Looking at replacing my 2022 H5 Flow with this. Any idea if it will fit an Arctic Freezer III up top? Just worried about the thickness of the rad!

Yeah, I was looking at the Flux (and pro), along with the Lancool 217. Too many choices now! But I really like the look of this case.

plenty of space for thick Artic AIO with the Flux Pro I worked on one. Only thing I don't like is glass side panel, and would like the lower section and panels to be secured with a screw (they're just push pins)

If the push pins snap you're a bit stuck.

Actually happened me. AntecEurope sorted me out though. My Havn bf360 is lost in transit so will be getting a refund. Tempted to order the flow version now and 2 x 180mm fans but still uncertain how it will compare to the Flux Pro which still seems ahead going by Gamers Nexus review
