Wow i just tried the demo and it's damm good!

I've done quite heavily the simulator (FS2004, FSX and CFS3) and this is actually a really nice change - graphics are sweeet as well!

tbh I'll pass, I can't really get excited a bout a rumbling wrist pad, blinking chav lights and wind blowers - btw are cockpits drafty?,

if you need a gdget for this game, then much better to get HOTAS
 
Downloaded the demo for this last night.

Initial impressions were thats its very pretty, well coded etc but just basic and found it boring. Put it down after I gave the 2 trial missions a go and then went back to it a hour later. Second time I seemed to enjoy it more but for me the jury's still out for this game.. hmmm
 
I cant get passed the fact im flying a F-16 that acts nothing like a F-16 so may as well not be a F-16 and be a 'Super Tiger Jet' instead. If that makes sense. lol

The fact that the F-15 Active flies the same as an F-16 - it's a bit rubbish and also the controls are just not nice at all, the dead zones are huge and I haven't figured out how to narrow them down.

I've cancelled my order for it.
 
Started playing the full thing last night. Very, very arcady. Still fun though but I'm gonna have to take it in small doses as the missions seem to get fairly repetitive. Also, 240 missiles in one plane? what? Looking forward to the multiplayer side of it though, could be fun.
 
I cancelled my order - they shouldn't have released the Demo. It just isn't Ace Combat enough for me. I'm frankly dissappointed. I'll be interested to see what you guys come up with as opinions.
 
I have no idea how they got the licenses to model these jets because thats all they are, just models. They act NOTHING like the jets should (even for an arcade game). The whole 'star' rating is really bad. Just feels like another console game churned out. Gutted by the demo.
 
I liked the demo, it reminded me of Ace Combat on the Playstation (the original PS) which was awesome..

Not sure whether to buy or not though.. I might sample it first if you get my drift ;)
