Hi there, after getting my pc as quite as possible the only thing I hear now is the hard drives, which until now never really bothered me but Iv been looking at some drive enclosures and I think I might get one however Im not sure what one to get, has anyone got good pointers for me, which one is best for sound deadening etc
I have 2x 250gb Seagate HD in RAID0 and a Antec P180 case
Thanks for any replys :D

I did think of solid state drives but would be to much hassle as i have already got 2 hard drives so i would be wasting money. yeah i looked at the GUP smart drive 2002c but i would need 2 of them for my 2 drives which would be 2X £46.99 inc VAT which is a little to exspensive i would say, i was looking at this

but im not sure if its as effective as the GUP smart drive 2002c has anyone got either of these and could they let me know if they are effective at reducing noise levels
cheers Dom

I vouch for this enclosure, under max load my raptor runs at 40c and its very quiet! It is expensive but totally worth it, don't cheap out in this area.

Im still not sure becuase 2 GUP enclosures would be 94 quid and i dont really think its worth it, if it was 47 quid for 2 then i would buy it but not 47 quid each.
Has anyone got the Icy Dock MB-453SPF 3-Bay Internal SATA Drive Enclosure and how good does it deaden the sound of the hard drives?

Dom
