Hd tach bench on raid0

this is really interesting i would like to know actually as i am using the nvraid and 2*seagates. might have to benchmark them and see how they turn out!

That gave me a massive increase in burst speed, I'm now at 400MB/s instead of 190MB/s. Thank you very much :) Now to see if it actually makes a difference.

Just been reading this thread and someone mentioned about disabling cache reads. I'm wanting to do this with my RAID setup because it looks like it gives one hell of a performance boost! :D

But is this read cache option only available to Nvidia RAID controller users? I don't have an NF controller, I use an Sil3112. Will this option still be there for me? i've looked in the device manager and can't seem to find it :rolleyes:

But I realy want it! lol

Just wondering whether the following performance is what should be expected from a standard IDE drive:

I know it is not fast but I have had some problems with the hard disk recently so wonder if it may be failing?

Andrew, that looks fine to me.

If you've been having problems with your disk check your HDD's manufactures website to see if they have a program to check it for errors etc.
