Ghost works in either direction. For instance: A. Clone 128GB HD (that contains 56GB of data) to 256GB HD drive and when you boot from the 256GB HD you see the complete drive. B. Clone 500GB HD (that also contains 56GB of data) to 320GB HD, and when you boot it you still see the complete drive. There is no wasted space.
