Hello,

I want to upgrade my 128gb SSD ( with my windows, documents, and a couple of games) to a bigger one, 256 or 512gb, I need an app that boots off USB and makes a perfect clone like Norton Ghost ( app I used for over a decade, always worked fine, I DO NOT want to reinstall windows) of a storage device... And additionally, allows this clone to be saved as an image.

Basically I want to clone old SSD to new SSD, make an extra backup of SSD on NAS in case the new one fails in the first couple of weeks, so I can immediately use my old SSD in my lappy. What's the best app/easiest way to do this ?

I use Hirens boot cd and use the acornas (SP). Need to burn it to disc and boot from disc.

I made an image to USB 3. I too did an upgrade from 128 to 256 and it was fine. I then went into disk manager to expand the voulme and job done.

Paragon backup and recovery home - used it to migrate to a larger SSD, it can create a bootable USB device also and I used it to recover from an SSD failure by restoring a previous backup to my new SSD.

Would recommend but I understand there are other products which can be had for free
