hdd Errors...Ok to use as OS?

You need to remove it from the enclosure. They would probably reject it if you sent it in the enclosure.

Have you tried it in your PC as i suggested above? :)

However if it was me id return it to the seller for a refund and let him RMA it :)
 
I dont have a pc to test it atm only a netbook, New pc is coming tuesday hopefully and going off the samsung warranty it runs out end of this month, I do have another enclosure i could try?

Ah ok didnt realise you couldnt test it internally.

You could try it in the other enclosure. Id get the RMA booked in now then tbh if youve only got days before it runs out.
 
Ok will do it now then, Have you ever dealt with Samsung before?
I will take it out of the current enclosure then try it in another as well.
 
Ok just had a look and its near impossible to get the hard drive out and a google search also shows people unable to get the hard drive out :/

What enclosure is it in? Was it purchased from new as an external drive? If so is it WDD, Seagate etc. Have you got a pic or link to the actual thing you have?

Ive got a buffallo external and it has a samsung inside.
