Hi guys
I had 2 640mb Western Digital Caviar Black drives in my computer in RAID 0. one day they started playing havok and on booting the PC it would say my RAID had failed.
i did all the normal things, change the sata ports, replaced the leads etc, took the drives out of RAID.
With the drives out of RAID and i go in to the BIOs sometimes next to where the drive name should be on the faulty drive, sometimes it says no device connected or sometimes its just blank, and a couple of times its just said WDC i think (what ever the first bit of the drive name is on a western digital drive)
Is the drive knackered and should it be send back to OCUK for rma??
thanks
Grant
