HDD sets for Performance BUT quiet as well

Personally i think the caddies are over-priced at the moment, equivalent to buying a small hard drive.

I'd opt for a cheaper one, but we all know you really do get what you pay for with some things, and i'd rather wait a little while to see if they drop in price.

Though if i do get the chance to see in one in person and read repeat praise for them i might be tempted to part with my cash for one.

I can't really see caddies as being things that will depreciate in price very much im afraid.

Guys, just having a thought now...
What if I keep my current 120GB HDD for storage and get myself that Western Digital Raptor 150GB instead, worth the money (it's just over my budget)?

If you want to spend that much, then why not......

I had pretty much the same option a week or so ago, i opted for buying the 74gb one plus a 16mb cache SataII WD. Prefer the extra space, and happy with the 74gb Raptor.

okay, thanks.
I'll just wait till the conroe mobos to be benchmarked then see my budget for HDDs, right now it's £150ish, may go higher if mobos are cheaper.
