Right, so I am looking for a 400GB storage drive. I was choosing between Samsung, seagate and Western digital.

I am planning to get 2 more drive. 1 for games and 1 for windows only.

Any recommendations?

Lolcb:

Price wise there is about £4 between the Seagate & WD 400GB HDDs, with the Seagate giving a 5 year warranty, performance wise I would think they are pretty much the same, comparing the 7200.10 against the WD "KS" range.

Personally I would go for the Seagate 7200.10, I have 2 of the 320GBs and am very pleased with them. :)

Cause I was thinking to buy the seagate 250GB for games. 400GB for storage.

And buy the 74GB WD raptor for OS.

save your self some cash and get 2 36gb ones if its just OS and software it doesnt need 150gb which i assume is your plan to Raid 0 them

looks fine to me but is there any need for a 250 for games?

I don't know, just in case. And the price isn't that high anyway.

If I were to drop to 160GB/200GB, they all only have 8mb cache etc. Is that good enough?

Or I am thinking to get the 150GB Raptor, but people say that it is not worth it.

So I'm not too sure now.
