I want to upgrade from the standard iPod headphones. This time I’m going to ask for some recommendations first, as I just spent £20 on some that actually sound worse than the standard ones! :(

Budget is £35. The must be inner earphones (no Caraaaaig David styles), and preferable white to go with the iPod.

Any ideas?

If you can stretch to £45 then you can get an excellent pair of Shure e2c's off a popular auction site.

At £35, I don't really know. A lot of people like the Sony EX-71s but I found them to be very mediocre.

I like these!... I've got a Black Pair (But you can get em in White!!) Bass Response is awsome!!! I've not heard a Rattle yet and I listen to: Prodegy/Chemical Brothers etc...

Did take a cuple of days to get used to the Inner-Inner Ear Style... and I'm still not sure I've got the right Bud Size (I'll try the next size tomorrow again!!).

Best MP3 Headphones I've tried for the money!...

Though I've not tried any of the Senheisser's yet!!...

I just took delivery of some Sony MDR-EX71SLW after lots of recommendations elswhere.

I’ve come to the conclusion that I must be anatomically incompatible with inner-earphones. These sound great as long as I constantly push them into my ears. But as soon as I let go they sound even worse than the standard iPod ones! I’ve tried all the different size rubber bits too.

Oh well, that’s another £25 down the toilet.

I think I’ll look into the Sennheiser models.

I find the wax keeps them in. Lol kidding.

I have some MX500s but I got send in them and opened them up to clean out the sand.... found out opening them up breaks them. Oh well.
They look really well built on the inside though.

Going to buy me some white ones.

I can't use in-ears any more - ugh! Just picked up a pair of the new Sennheiser PMX-200 closed back neck-phones - absolutely superb! Give decent sound isolation too :) Only £30ish if you have a look around - the PX200s (the non neckband version of these) have poor bass response though apparently so avoid ;) OMG Xmas smilies

listened to the PX-200s yesterday. The base wasnt the problem, it was the fact that there was NO depth to the music at all - they needed very well recorded music to sound in any way good.
