When you click on 'Request Tickets', are they reserved straight away? When I do so, the tickets just stay in the shopping list and it doesn't progress to 'reserved tickets' at the top.

You add tickets to your "shopping list" then click "Request Tickets".. After a possible queue, you may or not been assigned actual seat numbers, and given the opportunity to pay for them. Simply adding to your list doesn't mean you have tickets.

If they isn't any you can still submit the same basket again, as the tickets stay there until you either remove them or your session times out.

I don't know how long I'm supposed to wait while they're in the shopping list though. There doesn't appear to be any indication of a queue. How long before I remove the tickets and try at another price band?

You need to submit your list. There is sometimes a problem (I've had this a few times) where you click "Request Tickets" and you go straight back to your list. If this happens, close the browser and start again.

How do you submit your list? Here's where I get stuck:

You click "Request Tickets" that should take you to a screen that either shows your ticket, or a message saying no tickets. If it doesn't, I think it's because or an error, so I've found I had to open a different browser and attempt there, or close everything (and clear cache) and try again

Edit: It could also be because you've added tickets to your list which others can no longer add, as they've sold out. I guess it should still allow you to submit and say no tickets, but hey.

I've tried different browsers, clearing everything but still get the same problem! I think the Gods are against me today!!

Request tickets and sit in hope and wait. If you are lucky after the wait you will get tickets reserved showing and then you pay. :)

Were you given some sort of indication on the website to wait and for how long? I just get stuck on the page i've shown above.

Yes, after clicking "Request Tickets" you get put into a queue saying your wait (max 15 minutes of more). or taken to the success of fail page straight away.

The event you have added has sold out now anyway.

Do a quick test, add a Closing Ceremony ticket to your basket, and try and request that (obviously you won't be buying it, as it's £1500). I just did, and got given allocation straight away.

Thanks. I've just done that but as you say, I'm not paying £1,500 a ticket :D

The Athletics is sold out, then tickets seem to be available, then sold out again, then available....etc!

Yes. It shows the wait time which went up and down and finally gave me my ticket! I had fifteen minutes of this. :D

The whole process is random as I'd been trying for a few days without success and just couldn't believe it when it finally happened.

Good luck. :)

You'll be lucky there too! You may get tickets to women's boxing of weightlifting, but that's not in the Olympic Park

I can but try!! I wasn't originally planning to go but I've really enjoyed watching the Olympics on the telly and it would be a shame to miss out. I find women's boxing a big turn off but if that's all I can get, that's what I'll see!!
