Anyone caught this yet? I watched it tonight with my wife and we both really enjoyed it. Quite 'thrilling' and surprisingly uncorny so far. Some good scares and some decent acting. Sort of a cross between The Thing and Invasion of the Body Snatchers, depending on what the culprit turns out to be.

Will update this with more info tomorrow, but so far it looks promising. But then I love this kind of Outbreak stuff.

Seen the first 3 parts and I'm quite enjoying it so far. I love the way they keep you guessing what on earth went on prior to the CDC turning up, excellent way to keep people hooked on it. Interesting to see whether the whole season/show will take place at that base or they'll do something completely different after.

I know it's to be taken with a pinch of salt but a 7.8 rating on IMDB is pretty darn good for a new show compared to some of the other trash we've seen lately!

I'm very hesitant about this, watched the first few episodes, and so much seemed predictable, as though I've seen it all before. Eventually I realised, I have.. not in one specific film, but it is as though they've taken parts of every film of that genre, from the andromeda strain, to the thing, to outbreak. And bundled them up into one big lump. It was predictable that the base commander is hiding something, and that the military wants it as a weapon, and the tragic hero story..

Maybe I'm too cynical but *shrugs*

I nodded off through bits of it however yep, Andromeda Strain did spring to mind as well as a comic called Blackgas by a fella called Warren Ellis.

I've seen the double first episode and I am not going to bother as it just didn't grip me. I found it quite boring actually.

Den of geek review slammed it for what you mentioned, that all ideas been seen elsewhere I haven't watched it yet but I'm not sure if I should bother I have loads of shows I currently watch as it is :/

Enjoyed the first 3 episodes, will certainly keep tuning in. Will be keeping an eye/ear our for more BSG homages given its from the same makers. The "frack" made me grin.

Very good so far, definitely going to be watching the rest. Some stupid moments, like why didn't the blond girl working on monkey go up and tell them right away that there was more to it. Instead she puts on headphones and starts dissecting a monkey. A few moments like that. But overall its been edge of seat sort of entertainment and very good production.

It looks to me like they were producing a viral weapon and it also looks like they didnt realy want CDC to show up and if they did they didn't want them to find out. I think it may be only a matter of time before it leaves the base, whether that happens this season or next, not sure. But looking at the way its set up that looks like they route they are going to go down. Well hopefully.

Because she was with the marine who would have told her to stay and work, and he can relay the message, only he didn't cuz he's really one of the bad guys and that would follow his entirely predictable narrative..

I think it's an engaging enough show to keep me watching. The apparent shifting of motivations is quite good. Is Hitake good or bad? etc.
I also like the underlying concepts. The apparent superhuman capabilities of Hitake (healing) and Sutton (filing her teeth down) as well as the planned decimation and rule of the human 'herd'.
I can overlook some of the more obvious 'this is to make it a better show' plot holes as long as it doesn't go down a Lost style route.

The intro is annoying, it makes it look like a comedy :(

MW

Yeah the intro is a little odd and doesn't really fit with the tone of the show.

Enjoying it so far though things are starting to get interesting now with Sutton and Julia's... well whatever the hell is going on there :p

Just watched episode 7, its good. I agree the intro music is a bit weird, but its kind of grown on me.
