Help! <15cm Deep PSU Needed

Hi All

Currently trying to fit a Tagan 530w Modular into the Lian Li Q08 case, and if i want to fit the HDD cage im not having much luck.

Measured it up and i figure i need a PSU that is less than 15cm deep to give me enough room for the cables and the HDD Cage.

Would anyone be able to recommend something that might fit?

The 2nd one posted, if the picture is correct, looks a lot longer than the Antec. Are you sure it's 140deep and not 140wide?

I thought that too so i went to the Manufacturers site, and this is the 625w one:

Shows dimensions as 150 (w) x 86 (h) x 140 (d) mm

If you then look at the obviously larger 1250w model here

Shows dimensions as 150 (w) x 86 (h) x 190 (d) mm

The 150 and the 86 are the same so it is the depth that changes, so even though it looks longer than the Antec it cant be.

I have just been looking at the Ultra X4 PSUs, totally modular but cant find a UK supplier atm. I think this Sapphire will do me just fine.

Im using the same motherboard as you, however it does have a DVDRW in there and i dont want to change that. There does seem loads of space to get some routing sorted but the problem i have until i get a new PSU is that it just doesnt physically fit!

The Sapphire i wil order later is a good 3.5cm less than the one i have in there and the moment so im hoping that is going to be enough!

Annoying this is there is LOADS of space at the top of the GFX card, shame you cant get a PSU that you change the position of the cabling from behind to the one of the sides, that would be awesome!

Have you instaleld anything yet scott?
Or will you wait until the build is finished before you switch on?

When you evenetually get around to completeign the build, I'd be very interested to see if you can provide an answer to my missing drivers question.
With a vail server installation, i appear to have 2 motherboard devices with no drivers, I'll be intersted to see what windows7 can achieve and if you can link the drivers.

I've installed it already, currently just running with the SSD and no other Hard Drives. All Devices are installed and ive none that are showing not installed.

Will take a peek at ur thread and see if i can offer anything!

I bough the Sapphire PSU, it's just 1cm smaller which gives me more room!
