Help (again)

Just purchased the seasonic.

Last night i stripped it down to the core components. CPU, RAM, MOBO and gfx card. I managed to get into the bios before it shut off again. I seriously think this is a problem with the psu.

now this is really wierd. Changed motherboard, and graphics card (back to my x1900), the power stays on fine :D , but nothing is displayed on the screen. Put the graphics card into the motherboard (original), it has an image on the screen, but the power goes away. Why does this keep happening!!!!!11

Yeah - it is possoble tha last hiper took some other things with it. Which is absolutely a kick in the teeth.

Test the new Hiper on a different system if you dare.

It looks like your failed Hiper took out the motherboard as well. Exactly the same thing happened to me. Funnily enough, it was the same mobo as well i think. This one? Mine was brand new and it cost me well over £330 to get back up and running again (old and new mobo, old and new psu's).

I hope you have better luck than me getting anything out of them. Abysmal, absolutley abysmal!!

They will try to blame the mobo for taking out the psu, or too much power requirement for the psu or just try to blag you to death. Be prepared for some complete BS from them. I had to hang up on them before i said something i regretted. Told them to stick their RMA where the sun does'nt shine (not the actual words i used) first though. I then went outside with the Hiper and a 14lb sledgehammer and beat it to a pulp, much to my 70 yr old neighbours horror. Made me feel a bit better, until i paid for the new bits that was.

Have you seen how many Hipers are for sale on the bay? Most of them are RMA replacements in the descriptions.
