I have 4 seagate 80GB drives that have been runnig RAID10 on my S939 system.

Have moved to conroe with Gigabyte DS4. I've put the 4 seagates onto the Intel RAID controller.

OK enter BIOS delete RAID, build new RAID10 and off to install windows.

Blue text setup OK, F6, insert floppy select RAID and XP carries on - selected 25GB windows partition, fulkl format, copying all files including the RAID ones.

Finisehes the text bit and then reboots, back to start up and press F6.

This is driving me nuts and I can't think what else to try next.

Cheers in advance:confused:

Obvious, but boot order? That would probably cause it to say "press key to boot cd" rather than boot straight to cd though.

Got raid enabled on those 4 sata ports in bios?

Can't really think of anything else.

D'oh ignore me

BIOSsetting was IDE instead of RAID+IDE.

All is as should be now on the dark side (Intel and windows).

Thanks for your suggestion - went and checked, double checked all settings jumpers and stuff.

Tally ho!
