Does anybody have any insight please. To me the 780 8s incredible value and looking at getting that but what would give best performance boost in games that I will actually see?

I really don't know what to go for now I'm totally lost. Budget is £250 and I will only play at 1080p if I can save cash I'd like to get another 8gb ram but that's 50 on ocuk so would only leave 200. But I'm thinking spending 250 on gpu now and wait for another 8gb ram.

After the badly built vibrating cards I have had from Sapphire in the past I would stay away from any Sapphire cards , so....I would go for the 780 :)
What cards where they?

From my experience Sapphire are AMD's best option. I hadn't bought from Sapphire in a while as I went to MSI for my 7950 and then 290x but I'm back on a Sapphire Fury Tri-x now and grateful for it. The Tri-x is a top quality card. My old dual-x Sapphires were top quality cards as well, I had a Sapphire 265 briefly which was also a nice cooler.

If you're willing to stretch then 390 is best you can get in that price range but that 780 looks better than the 280x if you'd rather save the extra. Is that 780 deal being done anywhere else though? looks sold out.
