Hi, I am planning to build a custom pc, I was looking at this cpu but this is my first build so I'm not sure, I only want to spend up to £200 on a cpu, I do plan to overclock and I was looking at this motherboard. Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated :D.

No real differences bar not having much expansion options on the board, But I meant to ask your case size! :eek:

The B75 board will not allow for overclocking ok K series CPU'S, if require a small board look at the Z77 range.
 
No, case size isn't a problem I just wasn't sure. I never realized you couldn't overclock the K series with that board, I'll be sure to get the gigabyte one then, thanks :D
 
Yeah, it does. I've been searching and I found this too, which is supposed to be very similar to the intel 3570k, I thought this motherboard would go well with it, I know it's not the best but decent am3+ boards seem to be a lot more expensive then 1155 ones! What do you think?
 
Better Per core performance. Having 8 cores is all well and good but if they can only do 50% of the workload of a single 3570k and 8 threaded apps are near non existent the 3570k will be quicker for what you want to do most of the time. For example youve got a ferrari ive got a fireblade for those 1 or 2 times a month yes yours has the higher top end and is theoretically quicker but for what you do most the time ie to and from work in heavy traffic and a quick blast from time to time i bet i get to work quicker on the bike and use a lot less fuel doing so and have more fun doing it
