Dunno every ati card i've owned has modded and clocked well.

Exactly, everyone says they clock well, and theres loads of threads on here about how great they overclock too, use the search, theres plenty of XL's gone past the XT's for example, and the XT's are uber clockers. :)

Why is it that a certain group of people are constantly trying to get people to buy Nvidia cards, even though in some cases they are not superior?

(From an ATi and Nvidia user!)

Thats exactly what i was getting at, how they constantly say 'get the Nv card, fantastic overclocker so will be faster than the ATi one', yet they don't ever mention that the ATi card is also a fantastic overclocker, so it doesn't matter if the Nv card is clocked to beat it, as once the ATi card is clocked it will still beat it. :)

Please stop comparing overclocked Nv cards to stock ATi ones as it aint fair, the XL wil easily go to XT speeds, and beyond.

It's really boring now, constantly harbouring about NVidia products purely, and before the 7900 series came out they were quiet. As a person who reads more than I write, it's a complete waste of reading time seeing constantly BUY <insert Nvidia card> and then justifying it with reasons that make no sense, saying one thing in one thread, being disproved in another, and then using reasons (like you mentioned) to get people to buy...if it's not being a fanboy, I'd say that's gross misinformation!

I wonder if they get commission...

I don't think the graphics industry is one for brand loyalty...I've been in between ATi and Nvidia for some time now and I don't have a preference to one or the other. You buy what at the time is the best value given your budget.
