Hi
My computer turned its self off and will not turn on. There is power to the motherboard as the power flight is flashing, usually solid. My specs are:
4670k
Gigabyte ga-z787x-0c
MSI 7950
2x 8gb Kingston hyper x
Corsair hx 650.

All help would be much appreciated thanks.

Try unplugging it from the wall and take the cmos battery out. Have a cuppa, then put your battery back in. Just might post. If not, you'll have to go down the troubleshooting route of trying spare gfx card in the slot, or trying different memory slots / configurations, then other hardware. When you get it to post try manually upping the voltage an increment or two on your ram. Good luck.

idk whatelse you can try

not sure what the flashing power button means either but I think you've tried all you can

at a guess id say power/psu problem but you've tested with another

I had a problem where the pc wouldn't turn on, but the power light on the switch on the motherboard was flickering quickly.

Turned out to be the PSU. Think the 5v rail was screwed.

disconnect the keyboard and mouse (once had an issue where as the keyboard stopped it booting).

Pull the ram, hdds etc and see if you get any display on the in built graphics

Yeh in order to rule out the psu try just with one stick or ram and no hdds or one hdd. I ended up removing mine and connecting up to just one hdd and seeing if it could power that. Then introduced it back to the case and added an item each time.

This what is happening with mine although I did try another PSU.

I took all the cables out, gfx card, sound card, ram etc. I didn't try the HDD's though so I will try that later. When I tried the other PSU I only put in the 24 pin motherboard connector, the supplement 4 pin + the h100 molex. Should I have plugged in the HDDs as well?

Another update, tried with one stick of ram and all HDDs unplugged except for my ssd. And it still doesn't post. I found a old spare amd motherboard and CPU plugged it into the PSU and it booted. Down to either motherboard or ram now. New mb should be coming tomorrow.

Try the other stick of ram as well (make sure your in the first slot), no need to plug the HDDs in or SSD at this point.

Sounds like perhaps your mobo bios is corrupt. What mobo are you using? Can you do a restore? Have you tried the backup bios? If its gigabyte (may work with others) try:-

1. Shut your PC down
2. Hold the power AND the reset button for about 10 sec, than release.
3. Backup BIOS should kick in.
