Help from the girls!

Help help help! Going to a friend's wedding in a few weeks, and desperately seeking a nice dress to wear - have been looking for the last month or so, but can't find anything at all that fits well and looks pretty... any suggestions of places to try for this sort of thing, as am fast running out of inspiration!

My advice, stay away from the glass shoes.

Are we confident that the OP is female, and not a male looking for a dress? (no offense either way thread starter)

Just to put your minds at rest, most certainly a girlie :p and a little closer to a dress now Jen sent me to Coast!

boys, no fighting ;)

Jen, any thoughts on Jane Norman. Very simple, but I don't think it's going to be an overly elaborate wedding (got an Aussie and a northern gal), but I do want to stay on the right side of formal.

Jane Norman hmmm, I got put off them when a similar shop was opened in Liverpool but sold the same clothes half the price. Everyone bought their stuff and everyone looks the same. Sure you can probably get something nice though.

Oooh, yeah I forgot debenhams - always good :)
And also warehouse couture does nice ones. I got a dress a while back from there that was reasonably priced and very pretty.
Oasis too? :)

It depends what price range your looking for, Monsoon do do some good stuff, but generally i try to stay away from the high street stores and go for the specialist stores when looking for a dress. Its a bit more pricey but you do get served by people who actually know what their doing.
