HELP! Have a problem...

So i downloaded and loaded up, its fine until it goes to load into UBUNTU after the loading screen and the lights go off and the screen just turns off. You cant actually see the background.

Any ideas?

Does it occur at the exact same stage in the process? Maybe its a dodgy connection ?

Hi matey have you checked the cover latch button? could be stuck causing the backlight to stay off.

Erm, well in Linux mate, the monitor just goes off. Whereas in XP it goes dim.

I can see the backlight on in .dos etc and in bios but when it loads into windows the light goes off.

???? any ideas???

just a thought have you reset bios back to factory settings (default)
