I think I have the situation under some form of control right now. I don't know what the hell it is that I've cooked, but it's ready and waiting to be heated and I thought it tasted quite nice.

I tried the salmon dish posted earlier, but I completely buggered it up... twice. After a quick trip back to the supermarket I got some chicken thingies, potatoes, mushrooms, cream, asparagus and two smelly green plants that I assumed were edible being on the produce department.

I cut the chicken up, which was all horrible and dead. Did the same with the taters. Cooked it up with the help of another friend via skype voip, added some mushrooms, then eventually threw the cream along with the plants that I'd cut up.

I accidentally drowned it in cream to the extent it became soup, rather than errrrr, whatever it currently is. I have determined that it tastes good because I had to drink away all the soup so that the food didn't drown. The soup was good! I've been assured that I can cook the asparagus without any further help (I'm not convinced), so hopefully all will go well. :)

I dunno what the dish is called. I've given it the title of 'chicken ala failure' in the meantime. I think a couple of bottle of wine before I serve it should do the required job!

This has not been the stress-free day I was wanting. Let's hope I've done enoughto satisfy. Next time I am completely drunk, I hope I will remember today and not say I'm a great cook and offer to show my l33t cooking skills again!

1.> Go to Butchers, buy Rack of lamb
2.> Got to Super Market, Buy Cous Cous (To make it easier buy one of those Ainsley harriot roasted vegetable flavour packs of cous cous) and a jar of Harissa Paste. Some wine will be good too.
3.> Marinade Outside of lamb in the Harissa paste for at least a few hours, overnight is preferrable.
4.> Brown off the Lamb on a high heat in your skillet for a couple of minutes, brown all sides.
5.> Once meat is sealed, Place in 200 deg. oven for about 20 minutes
6.> After 20 mins, remove meat from oven and leave meat to rest in a warm place for about 5-10 minutes
7.> Boil a kettle
8.> Place Cous Cous packet contents in a bowl and then pour in boiling water, cover bowl in cling film.
9.> Once cous cous has absorbed all the water, divide it onto two plates and carve the rack of lamp, placing the chops on each plate.
10. Eat, enjoy, then have sexy time relations with lady friend! :)

Update: She was most impressed with the thouroughly unimpressive meal I cooked. The wine was used masterfully and tactically to great success! :D

Thanks for all the tips!
