ive been clamped in a place thats only just had signs been put up (yes yes i know my fault before you say it).

however im not sure if its dodgy or not, ive tried ringing police but they say cant help.

the guy wants cash and has said his card reader doesnt work. i find htat a bit wierd and havent got the money. im using parents card to pay for it.

what can i do?

Use your card to pop into homebase and buy an angle grinder.

Then slice off his head for clamping you!

Wheres that bloke who runs around in the superhero outfit grinding off clamps when you need him?

If he is a legit wheel clamper he also needs to have on him a frontline license from the Security Industry Authority (SIA). As far as I am aware this should be a card similar to what you see on those armbands door staff wear.

PK!

brilliant :D

Most of them are dodgy. DO NOT PAY until you confirm he is license. I'm not sure what to do if they threaten to tow you, call the police or is that too far?

Clamping without an SIA license is illegal, so yeah, call the police. But at the end of the day, if you've just been lazy and parked somewhere where it's obvious you shouldnt, pay the man and learn from it.

PK!

Get a set of picklocks and remove the clamp. If he tries to hit you for it, report assault to the police and get his taken away.

It's really easy to get past your standard cylinder lock. ;)
