Help!!!! Major computer problem

dont just replace parts, test and fix the problem. it could be something stupid like one bad stock of ram or a bad HDD. test sticks one at a time and let memtest run for a few hr's with each stick.

any errors = bad stick. RAM for a new one(Free), dont burn money till you know the problem

I wasn't going to just buy it I'm testing it tomorrow to make sure then buying a new psu if it's none of the afore mentioned problems also how do I install memtest? Thanks BM

From my experience, this is most probably going to be a heat or RAM memory issue.

Firstly download a reliable memory test tool and run it for a few hours. This will give you a good idea whether it has bad sectors or not.

Then probably test the GPU - anyone know of any GPU testing tools? Never had the need for them in the past.

you need to download memtest86 its free and put it on a CD/DVD then boot from the cd/dvd,

all the info is on the memtest site

Small update currently testing the first stick of ram and no errors yet all hopeful for the ram going to test GPU's on unigene when the RAM is done then test the CPU and after that it should hopefully be the PSU which is preferable to me thanks for the help BM more updates coming soon

A bit more of an update I have done almost all the ram test and I'm currently running them together on memtest86 then I'm going to test the GPU's next ally hopeful it's the power supply many thanks BM

Something i forgot to mention, on ever over clocked or none over clocked AMD build i have ever have i have had to put extra cooling on the north bridge, now on your board the north bridge is under the VRM coolers.
with you running a massive power hungry CPU when under load could the VRM/North bridge be over heating.

my old 990fxa burnt my finger at idle, and that was with a 6100.
Play a game for 10 then touch your VRM/North bridge heat sink.

Simply fitting a 40mm fan as always drop the temp a lot.

Just an idea...

Yes they point at virtually everywhere and I've tested all my graphics cards and I got for number 1 a score of 3700 then 2700 for the second then 2900 for them both the strange thing is my second card was only reading at 324Mhz for both the speed and the memory thanks BM really don't know what's wrong I'm so worried

Well the computer gods have been kind this day and it's running without fault now hail computer god thanks for all the help I've learnt a lot from it thanks BM
