Get the rvr then

Or you could see some sense and get something better than the 3 you listed. What about a automatic forester? If they exist?

I would if i can lay my hand on a model report but i cant for now, Beside i dont wanna gamble with my 5k, that's why.

Mic, i honestly dont like the looks of the forrester. sorry.

Then id start looking for more alternatives. I wouldnt choose any of those given the option.

And what sucks the most about this thread? Now I reeeeeeeeeeeally want a forester. That black one on page one is only 4grand sterling  :(

Wouldnt a (whisper it) RAV 4 be better than the afore mentioned heaps of junk?
I know they are probably a bad 'car' and kinda girly. But i love those things :o :(
Black and chrome side runners. Or blue with chrome side runners.

I do like them too but i dont have enough money to get a proper spec i want (you know bullbars and side steps, etc). Also i am trying (if i can) to steer clear off finance.

As others have said I really really implore you to consider buying a car rather than any of these vehicles for a multitude of reasons: handling, performance, economy to name but three. Unless your need for the soft roader look outweighs all of these factors I just cannot see why anyone would choose one over a similarly priced car.
!

Man, i must admit, you spit some sense. I wont mind other alternatives like i said in the OP, perhabs a seat Altea will do. It looks nice and i suppose nice to drive too.

I've never driven one no, but I know someone who had one and liked it :p

It might be god awful, but it looks better :p
i'll be honest and say i can't think of many cars produced in the last 5 years that i thought were as bad as the jeep.
doesn't go, stop or handle at all.
the ride is terrible, they go down (in value) like monica lewinsky and they were featured in "queer as folk".

Rav4 is a much better choice in my opinion.

What age Sportages are you looking at?

We had an 05 plate one in stock 2.0 Diesel - Wasn't actually a bad motor.

Nice spec including leather and auto gearbox, was a depreciation disaster though.

Man, they are all just..... silly 4x4 things that get stuck in the mud, don't really do that well on the road and... appear to serve little if any purpose.

The Mitsubishi is exceptionally rare, the Honda is a rare example of Honda making a gash car (Family friend has one, its just so.... well, I've yet to find a single redeeming feature) and the Kia Sportage is a Kia so is assembled with the care and craftsmanship of... a nasty cheapo car.

That said apparently the Kia is at least half good off the road.

Why don't you buy something decent? Sorry for this rather vague, perhaps totally unhelpful reply but it's painful for people who love cars to see somebody move from an FTO to something so... soo..... damn I can't even think of a word.

Mondeo?

He's looking at spending £5k, as he said, you are the car salesman why don't you tell us :p

Had you read the opening post properley you would have realised he's got £5k and he understands that he isn't going to get a decent Sportage for that kind of money so he is considering borrowing the rest.

What I want to know is how much the rest is.
