Had the cork break on a proper bottle of wine not this sparkling rubbish the op is on about

Broke right down the bottom where the corkscrew i was using couldn't get to spent ages getting the last of it out using a special multi purpose tool i keep handy just in case of situations like this.

Finally got it out without getting a single bit of cork in the wine and was able to sit back and enjoy the 9yo grande reserve...... mmmmmm was one of the best wines ive ever drunk.

The funny thing about that is 'champagne' is an English invention, not French. I'm sure I heard that from somewhere relatively reputable..

Sparkling wine is an English invention, Champagne is just a name for specific group of sparkling wines from north eastern France.

After many hours meditation, i decided to use a corkscrew... it worked, but there was little excitement involved and i no longer felt like drinking iit. also wine is not flamable... ¬_¬
