I don't use antivirus, as it slows down the system considerably. I haven't had a virus since I stopped downloading random stuff via p2p a few years ago. I don't use a firewall as the router is flawless, though I would use Outpost (got it installed but mostly not running). I use Adaware and Spybot, but haven't run them in a long time as I use Opera.

Prevention is greater than cure.

Great choice, throw AdAware or/and SBS&D in thier and you've got yourself some lethal security also stay upto date with Windows Update.

Over the weekend, I rebuilt my system. I had always used Norton, but instead moved to NOD32, Windows Firewall and Routers Firewall. The improvment is amazing. About 10 processes vanished from my Task Manager!!!
