Help me replace my steam collection

Maybe I am naive, I'm not a parent thankfully, but I always thought no meant no. Therefore telling your kids not to use your account, but their newly created account would surely solve your problem.

More money than sense going on here. I agree with the quoted post.
 
I have explained this a few times above, but to be clear - I don't play 95% of the games on that account ever and they play a lot of them. I have no need of them as I am either bored of them or finished the game. Over the past 2 years I have paid for games for the kids only that are on that account. It now makes more sense to give it to them and to buy the one or two games I play again on a new account.

However, I do need the base HL and L4D games and would be grateful if anyone has copies to spare.

Also, I feel it is a necessary part of a kids education to be prepared for a zombie apocalypse. I tried endless reruns of the walking dead but watching can only teach you so much!

He's just asking if anyone has HL or L4D just sitting in their inventories which he can have and if not I'm assuming he'll just buy them when the HL/L4D franchises are on daily deal. Nothing wrong with asking.
 
Just get stocked up on the big sale packs.

Echoing the comment above one thing to be wary of if you are giving your Steam account to your kids is whether they are all old enough to play all the games i.e. even leaving aside the whole debate of whether kids should play certificated games below that age, if you have Manhunt or something on there it may not be appropriate.
 
Well these are on offer now so one last check. Anyone have HL2 or Ep2 gift before I buy them?

Also, I now have a spare steam account with CS:GO (no other games) on it if anyone wants this. Just post here.
