you could use that MSI lightning which is an epic card and stupid fast but its yellow and doesn't match the theme that your going for ..... you could always just paint the yellow bits orange tho if you felt that you could do a good job of it :)

I quoted the msi gaming gtx 780 which is red and black :)
Very quiet they are too, i have one in my pc
And have an extra year warranty with the msi also compared to the gainward, sell the games that comes with the msi (i know they come with gainward as well) that means each card will cost you about £325 :D
Total money saved means, you can get the extra SSD...
Jobs a good'un, as they round my area

Could do for the extra warranty just upto the OP if his OK with painting the red out with the orange paint :)

Doesn't seem much red on those cards, but spraying them might be a pain.

Side on would you notice much? Would it stick out like a sore thumb against the orange? I find it hard to visualise the build, without the water cooling will there be much visible orange beyond the memory? I suppose that's where spraying the fans come from :D

The gainward and gigabyte ones are completely black so no reason to spray them, you could leave the red but it will stick out the gigabyte one offers a better warranty then the gainward same price

I have a question on the GPUs running in SLI.

Do I need to purchase something to create the bridge between the cards?

Also, that Gigabyte mobo says it has just one PCI-e lane running at 16x. Does that mean the secondary GPU is bottlenecked by the lower 8x channel?

The motherboard will come with an SLI bridge. That is what you need. :)

They'll run x8/x8.. sharing bandwidth. This isn't half of x16/x16, its basically the same. Boards which can't support SLI run x8/x4 (which is okay for Xfire but not SLI).

Very few 1150 can run x16/x16 and its not worth the extra money atall...

It's basically the same 8x/8x? Is that because no cards currently utilise the full bandwidth of 16x hence your not losing half? Sorry for my ignorance.

Not as such, its just the rubbish way the labeled it. :)

It might aswell be x15/x15 or something to that effect. :)

Haha ok, that makes no sense but I'll take your word for it ;)

I guess all I need confirmation on is the fact that spending £800 on 2 x 780's is going to be a considerable better performer than spending say £650 on 1 x 780TI

I've googled for benchmarks scores on these cards but unfortunately I can't find SLI set ups put against the ti's etc

Just incase I come across super lazy not helping myself ;)

Anyone happen to have heard or asked about when the MTN sprays are due in?

I see the entire range is just sitting as pre-order with no ETA but I assume they've been stocked in the past.

Also, when I create my basket and go to checkout it offers me delivery for next working day which is great, however, 3-4 of my items are out of stock. Do OC delay the whole order until everything is in stock or dispatch what they can now and you just wait for the rest to come in stock? I'd rather just purchase elsewhere for the out of stock items than delay the whole build.

Thanks as always everyone.

They usually send what they can now and send the OOS stuff later. The best part of that also is if they reduce the price of the item while its awaiting re-stocking you then get it at the cheaper price, if they increase the price while you wait, you still get it at the ordered price :) win win for the consumer.

Ok thanks for the info, makes plenty sense. I can pretty much wait on everything other than the cooler, although I think on the first page an alternative was given, I must take a look at that now.

If your buying a retail cpu it will also be boxed with the retail cooler. These arent great but will let you run the pc without any overclock until you buy a better cooler
