help needed badly i feel like a noob again

Well ive gone dumb again after no problems with my new rig ive had about 9months now
my girlfriend soon to be ex if shes broke it , said it was running slow so downloaded an antivirus called avas apprently or she thinks and restart all fine apprently , i come home to watch a film after a long day at work and im welcomed by this

now its on my samsung smart tv through a hdmi, i remember having loads off problems setting it up on my tv and ive tryed a 15pin? From the mb to the tv and thats not working ever

just cant seem to get it on the tv

the powers up as normal with same sounds and beep

havnt a clue i think im gona try it on a proper monitor bit any ideas or help if any hardware is broken i hope not but its a thought would i be under warrenty?

i opened her up and well shes clean not even that dusty or anything

I bought it originally for gaming which i play a truck sim for about a month but since then its literally watching films and youtube and facebook

Maybe a dead gpu? What one is it? Try taking it out and just using onboard and see what happens

Vtx amd hd 7870 boost edition
ive tryed using a 15pin thing from the motherboard but with no luck ,
Was thinking off resetting bios by taking little battery out off motherboard

Try running on the onboard iGPU in case as Ripjaw as stated your gpu may have gave up the ghost....

That is dead hardware. As already stated try running off the igpu. If that doesn't work try individual sticks of ram.

Its done that screen before but usual then starts up on windows
and which ram as i have 2 sticks?
Am confused what i should try?

Like the others have said, that's not looking too good for your GPU. When trying the onboard graphics, make sure you disconnect the graphics card as it will still default to that (so I've found)

When trying the RAM, just remove one stick at a time to see if it boots (i.e. one then the other, to see if it boots)

clear the cmos first by leaving out the motherboard battery a good 5 to 10 minutes

then connect the hdmi cable from the graphic card to the tv and see if you get a picture

if not then uninstall your graphic card and connect the hdmi cable to the back of the motherboard and then to the tv and see if you get a picture with onboard graphics

My mb doesnt have an hdmi slot just the 15pin thing ,
So battery out for 10mins then back in - try
if not then gpu out N try
if not 1 ram out - try
then other ram - try
When trying the ram shall i leave the gpu out or put it in?

Update to this guys
right took battery out and nothing

took my gpu out and hay presto it was on and felt like crying that my expensive gpu had gone anyway missis told me the software
called
AVAST ANTI VIRUS uninstalled that and the rest off what came with it
thought i would try my gpu back in and wayyyy its all works again

so dont install that crap
and also the missis is band from my rig lol

I'd be surprised if Avast had anything to do with it, re-seating the GPU probably fixed it.

I assume it you got that mess even on the bios/pre windows loading screen?

Agreed, but on a side note i'd still ban the mrs from it

No one, and i mean no one is even aloud within 2 meters of my pc desk let alone touch my pc lol

Lol. That's No man's Land and we can't be held accountable for what may happen should you cross that threshold

For a laugh you should make a little Arduino motion sensor alarm aimed at that area

Glad the OP's GPU is fine, I can't believe Avast could cause that, it's a fairly reputable, commonly used, piece of software. I do wonder what did though.

Well i already took gpu out before and that didnt sort it only sorted it when i booted up when i left it out and then uninstalled the software then put the gpu back in

Yeah. I wonder whether Avast would still cause the same issue on a clean install or whether somethings just not quite right and for some reason that combination highlights the problem.

Either way it's working now though which is good news, always a relief when you find out a component you thought was faulty, isn't

If it wasnt the software then the software caused it on my rig
it because its running through my tv , i cant even access the bios through my gpu n hdmi , so think it needed to do that startwindows normally option
so had to take the gpu out to be able to go to that screen
