Hello everyone,

I have a custom built computer and would like some instructions on how to overclock Q6600 on a P5QL PRO Motherboard.

- It has 4x1GB DDR-667 RAM (2 modules are Corsair and 2 are OCZ)
- Antec Earthwatts 500W PSU
- Zalman CNPS5X CPU Cooler
- 2x 120mm Fans on case
- 500GB hard drive

I have installed CPU-Z, SpeedFan and Prime95.

All help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Just checking where we were with knowledge.

Just start upping the FSB incrementally and running some stability tests whilst watching the temperatures.

Don't bother increasing CPU/ram voltage until you see instability.

Unfortunately it's not as simple as just entering all the values you've mentioned. Chips vary widely.

First go for the easy win.
Bump up the FSB to 333, it may say 1333.

Drop the ram divider down to the setting that is 1:1, that will keep your RAM in spec.

You may not need to adjust any voltages to run at that speed.
