Please help my new build wont turn at all, no fans or anything comes on..

I'll double check the Power Switch is connected correct can you suggest something else while I'm at it..?:(:(:(

Edit, it worked then, the system came on but none of my fans are working!!!!

Therefore the CPU wont get cooled by the H50..

I have connected my fans up, its an Antec 902 case, I did a sort of daily chain with the fan molex connectors, then into the fan slots on the motherboard, using 2 four pin peripheral connectors which came with the PSU.

Just saw this in the Antec 902 online manual:

"There is a 120mm fan pre-installed onto each cage. Connect the 4-pin connector to the
power supply."

EDIT : IT works!!! :D

How can I be sure the H50 is plugged in and working properly?

Cheers!

Check my edit, the fans work I think it all works but not sure if the H50 is functioning since you cant hear it, incase my CPU burns out or something..

It should just be slotted into a system fan slot right?

I'm confused - when you wrote 'It works!!!' what did you mean?

Did it work briefly, did the fans spin, did it beep...?

Yes everything but the fans, now they work I just can't get a display on-screen.

My monitor is the Samsung T220, and it came with two cables, blue and white, the white one fits onto the graphics card port, yet no display.

Sorry, i'm still a bit confused.

Are you saying that when the case fans were not connected the system worked - i.e. posted and you were able to get into the BIOS?

And now that the fans are reconnected you can't get a display but it sounds like the sytem has posted?

No it never fully worked I meant it just turned on as in some componants came on.

Never got to the bios, I can't get the display to work.

I had exactly the same problem 3 months ago, when re-assembling my rig after RMAing my mobo. Spent hours stressing over it, then it turn's out I've forgotten to connect the 8-pin to the mobo :o

What GPU have you got?

XFX ATI 4890.

Here's some pics if they help..

Is this where the 8-pin should be yes?

Finally this is the cable I'm using from the monitor to the GPU - it's the right one isnt it?

It says the white cable is "DVI In", and the blue one is "RGB In" but the blue one is too small.

Analogue input is for the blue (VGA cable only) the white DVI cable is sending a digital input - you need to change the input channel on the monitor to Digital!

Yeah I pressed the button "Source", and it just has a blank screen..

EDIT, computer just turned itself off after 15 mins, hope it didn't overheat.

Have you tried disconnecting all non essential hardware so you're just running cpu, 1 stick of memory, gfx?

Also, was the monitor part of the new build and do you have another you could try or at least a different cable?

I've had the monitor about 2 months connected to the laptop via analogue it has worked fine.

What parts should I try disconnecting?

Not sure what power connectors your gfx card will have, but do you have it connected?

Eiether pci-e 6 or molex

It has two PCI-E 6 connectors, so I just connected both to the PSU.

The fan is spinning on the graphics card but not sure if its connected up right/

Not good, it's not a monitor/cable issue then.

Did you say it shut down just unexpectedly earlier? Perhaps your block is not seated properly, the CPU is reaching very high temps and so your mobo is refusing to POST...

Yes, I thought I got my H50 to seat properly, should I try the stock cooler?
