Help out an old timer...!

OK, so I just checked out the watercooler as suggested by Bacon? and realised that the fan is situated remotely. Nice. I thought it was just the block, silly me....

Some further suggestions would be great though.

Thanks again.

Apologies, my reply may have sounded like I completely disregarded your suggestion. That wasn't my intention.

I guess the reason why I haven't considered mATX is because nobody has recommended one. More reviews to search for :)

Thanks

No apology necessary.
Most people associate mITX with HTPC, so don`t check that the Case will also take an mATX mobo. As long as the mobo you chose meets your needs, then size is irrelevant. ;)

I was swaying towards the Gigabyte ITX, I'll look at some reviews and shootouts today if I get the opportunity!

Thanks. Are there alternatives to the antennas? Or perhaps in internal PCI card that would give me wireless functionality?

All the wireless cards have antennas.

You could use a USB adapter.

Are you really going to see the antennas, they will be situated at the rear after all.
Seems a bit pointless buying a wifi board, then installing another adapter.

I was looking for something similar to this. Thanks for the link. I guess once I factored in the price of two of those and then postage, I may as well stump up the cash for a P8Z77.

I'm really tempted by it now....

Decisions, decisions, not easy. But the Asus would make more sense in your case, although a bit more expensive, it would be less hassle, as in finding suitable antennas.

I'd agree.

Quick question if I may. Regarding the graphics card, is it necessary to go for one of the all-singing, all-dancing models or is that only really necessary for certain games? I really like the pricetag of the Giagabyte 7870 Windforce 3x card but couldn't justify spending any more if I'm honest. What sort of difference are we talking about if spending £100 more? Bearing in mind I'm not a huge gamer, it's just Skyrim I'd like to play with all it has to offer. Other games like Crysis, COD, Dishonoured I can really live without.
