Help Overclocking e4300

I would do this just so you can stress the chip without stressing the mobo so much. Once you've found a good clock speed for the cpu you might find that the same clock with a lower multi and higher fsb is faster.

so is a higher fsb and lower multi better?

and would it stress my mobo (ds4) to much?

how long should i run orthos? so far 4hrs 51 mins @ 3ghz 1.45v vcore

It is better, but it's a minor point and more of a finishing touch imo. I would suggest maxing out the cpu first.

When I'm trying to find a max clock I orthos for about 10 mins then increase it a notch. Once you've reached a possible max speed, 6-24 hours to prove it's stable.

i cant get my cpu stable on any x9 multiplier above 300 ((1.45vcore + 0.2v mch,) if i increase fsb v pc wont boot)

i.m stuck @ 380 x 8 3ghz which i'm happy with!

But if anyone has any tips I'm still interested

Thanks for all the comments so far tho much appreciated!

No idea, very very nice clock, you'v got me jealous as im at 2.9 with a 9multi.
Temps you getting? Think im going to have a fiddle inside my case improve airflow etc, and up vcore a wee bit more and try and get mine past 3ghz
