I like your style!Hah, just pull the plastic shroud off and cut the pins with some tin snips (£3 from Screwfix) don't make a mountain out of a molehill etc.

Even though the pins would have to be straight to pull the shroud off.I like your style!
Yeah, no. You can pull it off with your fingers really easily, or a pair of pliers if you have baby soft hands.Even though the pins would have to be straight to pull the shroud off.![]()
Thanks,I've done 1 stick at a time with the Ram, no change. My moneys on the RAM or GPU, CPU's rarely go wrong. Try running just 1 of the sticks of ram, and try each channel.
You're welcome. Does your CPU have onboard graphics? If so try plugging just that in without the GPU, if not you'll obviously have to plug the GPU in.Thanks,I've done 1 stick at a time with the Ram, no change.
GPU, I've not got it plugged it.
Frustrating considering I've bought a new PSU and mobo and still persists
I've disconnected the GPU from the mobo and plugged in the monitor via hdmi on the mobo to the monitor. Still the same problem. You're welcome. Does your CPU have onboard graphics? If so try plugging just that in without the GPU, if not you'll obviously have to plug the GPU in.
How bad are they? The CPU pins on the older mobo are all damaged to, but the CPU looks fine

what cpu to do you have as it may not have an igpu?
He already replaced the PSU:only thing left is cpu and psu
Hope you didn't pay much because some of the ones I've seen listed are going for more than a new entry level AM4 mobo.I got a mobo off eBay but got the same except it's the z77 version not the z77x
Yes; its a dead platform now that doesn't support W11 so I wouldn't want to spend money on it but now you have paid for a mobo you are kind of stuck, so buy a second hand 3rd gen i5 / i7 or possibly a Xeon if the Mobo bios supports them.could it be the CPU?
