Hi
Well at last I've managed to register here thanks to starting work- email
I'm making my first DIY rig, and need it checked over, whether all the hardware will work well together.
Unfortunately, I've bought most of the items before being able to register here, relying on researching other's posts here and elsewhere.
Anyway here's what I've ended up ordering:
EVGA 680i (delivery tuesday 23/01)
intel C2D e6600 (delivery tuesday 23/01)
Noctua 1200rpm (for front) (delivery tuesday 23/01)
BFG 8800 GTX (delivery tuesday 23/01)
150GB Raptor (at home)
2x 320GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (at home)
Zalman CNPS 9700 NT (at home)
Pioneer 111BK (at home)
Tagan Dual Engine 600W (bought this back in July 06)
Akasa Eclipse 62 (at home)
Zalman ZM-F3 (for rear) (at home)
OCZ ddr2-900 pc2-7200 dual channel platinum XTC (unsure of delivery date) (btw, the reason I got this, as I acquired it for <£200)
I'm unsure as to the OS right now- going to wait till next week and see some review of vista. Ive already got a 19" GNR tft, but I'll be upgrading that later.
I game quite a bit- mostly Oblivion, HL2, KOTOR, FEAR etc..
I also listen to music, and watch films (though not nearly as much as gaming).
Any reccomendations will be greatly appreciated (I can always cancel the stuff delivering tomorrow, or resell anything else). Price is not important at this stage, just making sure the components work together best (though as you can see from my build, I'm not willing to spend extortionate amounts on some things. Others- well I like to live in the now
).

Edit: About the motherboard, I'm not too fussed on sli, so is there anything that can perform better, and is more stable than the evga 680i.
DFI's RD600 looks good, and its cheaper, with crossfire option (again I'm not fussed, but may be useful in the future). Basically what is the best motherboard option that is relatively future proof, stable, performs well at stock rates (but able to overclock well, for when I am ready to do that).
Intel chipset please.
Thanks again
