Help Please - Golf Vs Ibiza

Went to look at it, im not too convinced personally, as its very poverty spec...wind up windows. for £5481 they will tax it, service it, repair the kerbing, and repair a couple of scratches.

I wouldn't think the running costs would be much more on a GTI tbh, there are a few on here with them so they will no doubt give you their opinion.

Should she all of a sudden get the urge for more performace, a remap takes them up to nearly 200bhp and can also give better economy ;)

Christ, and I thought the Zetec engines were lacking in power for their size. What power does yours make stock MrSix? Im surprised at your economy figures too; Full tank for me is probably also about £55, but that will see me for a good 380 miles, more so if I do a lot of motorway runs.

If she wants a nice shiny red 70,000 mile MK4 1.6 with electric windows, CD player, alloys and colour coded rub strips then she's welcome to buy mine off me :)

lol at this thread managing to get Fox suspended!

We went to have a look at an 05 Seat Ibiza 1.4 Sport 5 door in red on an 05 plate with 19k on. Its £600 more, but shes quit smitten now. I think the extra money would be well spent on the Ibiza, but theres a couple more 1.4 sports in the area for similar or lower price so I will have a look at those as well.
