help please son is distraught.

I think it's ok for boys to watch and play older content tbh, at 12/13 i would let my son play what ever he wants or watch what he wants. I was 9 playing GTA 3 and stuff like that it didn't teach me things that i already didn't know.

For a girl i would just let the mother set the rules as i was never a girl so dont know what it's like at that age to be a kid/teen.
 
Think I played games suitable for a 10 year old.

Things are different now.... It isn't just about the game. It's about the people you play with. Have you heard some of the things some people say whilst playing online lol.

It isnt even safe for kids to play Minecraft online.
 
looks like i have got to wait a month to find out why as he doesn't know the pw for account so I have had to reset and hotmail is telling me i cant get access for 30 days.

I wasn't overly bothered with his online play as it seemed to be just with kids from his school. But I will be keeping an eye on his antics from now on :D
 
you needed to login into live account he cant remember pw I have had to request a reset will take 30 days before I can access it. But he has got online with a 2 day pass and a new account so it likely the console is not blocked. He has another at his mums house to banning the account was the sensible move for MS to be fair. Hopefully it will teach him a lesson.
 
You get banned for being in hacked CoD matches now? I remember playing MW2 and having some random guy instantly make everyone top prestige with everything unlocked. I would have been ****** off if I got banned for something I didn't ask for!

My first encounter was on the original xbox on RTCW, Action Replay card allowed players to fly around the map and ruined that game. On PC you have to expect them but on consoles you should be free of them all the time.

You should get him a notorious game for cheats and give him just that one game on pc and see how long he thinks it's fun for.

I always thought I missed out on possibly the best version of RTCW on xbox, but maybe not then.

I never saw players flying on PC in that manor, but there was always the how much FPS can you afford and too much freedom to strip down the visuals plus certain net fudging settings.
 
Oh don't get me wrong, It was the best fps on xbox ever but along came the idiots and ruined it once action replay was released. Yes they got banned but you know how it is.

I'm back on console now so I'm glad there's no cheating here yet on ps4.

The kid was saving for it, so he can get an XB1 if he likes.

@badcompany. If I was your son, I would get a PS4 instead. No way would I give microsoft another penny. Also PS4 looks like it is going to be the dominant console this time around. If he get's an Xbox one, be careful not to swear in the room, else he might get banned again, although I don't think a permaban.

Oh yeah, what sort of irresponsible kids would be be if we didn't do that? :D Plus, living in Stoke, if you dig a few inches down into the dirt you get access to a shedload of old discarded pottery. Old plates make for great land-mines, and an old mug makes a great fragmentation grenade. :D

This is a laughable post.

PS4's online service (not taking into account paid for PS+) is shocking. This means that to get a comparable (arguable) online service you still have to pay a monthly fee.

"Dominant console" - I am glad you can see into the future ...

"Swearing in a room" - Get your head out of the clouds bud. Plenty of bad language goes on in both xbox live and playstation online gaming.
