Hi all i`ve brought a guitar from an online retailer for £349 plus a guitar stand £20 plus some strings £8.50 there mail service is £10.
They have a so called premier service where the guitar is cleaned,re-strung tuned and checked for faults etc this comes to £25.

I have waited 2 weeks for the guitar to come, which it came today without the promised tracking number they said they would send.
The guitar came in a box taped together with tape(of all things lol)and packed with cardboard very poorly, the stand was thrown in the same box so was my strings.

On inspection of the guitar there are many scratches on the body of the guitar, now this online guitar company prides itself on its guitar set up,to which i paid an extra £25 for and to which has not been done due to the fact the guitar looked bad when it got to me.

I`ve tried emailing them but no reply.

What to do please help ta

burtie

Sorry for spelling etc,i`m a litle beered up :D

Ahem ;)

I'm afraid there isn't much we can do. Your best bet is to call them and make your opinion of their service known. Be diplomatic about it and hopefully they will offer a repair, replacement or your money back.

Thats' tough. I'd make a lot of noise and demand some recompense.

I am soon to be buying a guitar from an online retailer. I hope it isn't the same one. Is it a British company?

Yes mate www.guitars.co.uk they where so helpful at the start but now seem unreachable :(

1) Who did you buy it from? (Name and shame)

2) Why does anyone ever buy a guitar they haven't played? The ones one the shop floor will be set up so they plan nice in the shop. Buy those ones!

Well i can`t drive for one and the guitar shops around here are rubbish so the only thing to do is by on the net(do you go to ocuk to fiddle with you cpu before buying no so :p)

Also i put my trust in the man i was buying from so what can i say :o

Maybe they sold it with no strings attached? Anyway's I'd make a right song and dance about it if it were me, really struck a chord this has, hate shoddy service myself.

Try and get in touch by phone, certainly had good service myself.

Buying a guitar is completely different to a CPU, all CPUs at stock run exactly the same.

Guitars are completely different, you can play 10 of the same model and each will play totally different. In my opinion you have to play it before you buy it, some just do not play 'right'. :D

Get in contact with them, all retaillers make mistakes from time to time. I would be most surprised if they did not sort it.
