Your warranty isn't void by resetting the CMOS. That's exactly what support would have told you to do on the phone anyway. As long as you don't go flashing the bios with updated roms etc, then I can't see a problem especially now it's all working.

However, I don't understand how the pre loaded overclocked profile is still there if you succesfully reset the cmos?

How did you go about resetting it?

when i did get into it the first time everthing was screen shoted and saved onto another pc

It will be. I wonder why it was unstable in the first place. That would be something concerning me. Have you checked temperatures, or stress tested the cpu to check if the overclock is indeed stable this time around.

That's quite an upgrade! Good to hear its all working ok now. Be sure to stress test too to ensure the overclock is stable and temperatures are good at full load.
