HELP - Problem with PC :(

Start in safe mode again without the card and Go to:

Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options

Hit the arrow and put your power on high performance, might help.

ok ran the disc

choose the set-up icon and same thing, it starts then says it cannot find the graphics card.

is there a way to manually install the drivers? theres so many files i wudnt know where to start

You have uninstalled the old drivers correct and is your card inside your PC now? If your card isn't inside put it in and see if you can start with no drivers just the card in.

and i wud manually choose them but i wudnt know which ones to pick i wouldnt know which files i needed etc

Try using a VGA cable also.

its already on high performance

im reading another thread and have tried a system restore.. it seems to have fixed the problem (well back to how it was anyways)

the thing is, i want to install an older driver because the current driver keeps failing and cutting my display off..

if i try to install it now, wont it stop me saying i have a newer version etc etc blah blah blah?

thanks for your help so far guys

If you've uninstalled the newer version you shouldn't have any drivers on your system and can install an older version if you wish.

thats what i thought, but the problem is it wont let me install any drivers unless the card is plugged in, and if i plug it in i cannot get the display to work at all..

its ok atm, ill put up with it failing for now (doesnt happen often) and update it wen its updated i guess :)

In all honesty I couldn't nor wouldn't put it with it myself. If it's causing you issues you should RMA it.

You downloaded the correct version of your driver, 32/64 ye?

RMA?

well at least once a day the screen freezes and goes blank for a few seconds then it automatically corrects itself.. i read somewhere the fix was to use an older driver but iv got stuff i need to do tonight so havent really got the time to fix it.

ill try and update the driver if i can see if that makes any difference.

the worst thing i was planning on buying a second gtx 670 next week for eyefinity lol..

its making me wonder if the cards worth it or not haha

I would send it back because after a quick google it's not just yourself with this issue. You could try a clean format of your system but I would deem its the card at fault.

UPDATE: NVIDIA Potentially Recalling All GTX 670, 680, 690 Kepler Video Cards

Could be fake tho :)

I would still RMA my card for a replacement.
